Empowering Tomorrow: The Indian Heights School Students’ Journey at the International Conference & Pop Festival for Youth-Led Climate Action

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, students from The Indian Heights School participated in the International Conference & Pop Festival for Youth-Led Climate Action at India Habitat Center, New Delhi, India.

During the conference, the students actively engaged in discussions and learned valuable insights on environmental conservation and sustainable practices. The event served as an enriching platform, fostering awareness about climate action and equipping the students with knowledge to contribute to a greener future.

A highlight of the day was the opportunity to meet Rakesh Khatri, renowned as the ‘Nest Man of India.’ His expertise in crafting nests became an inspiration for the students, who gained practical insights into creating habitats for birds. Additionally, under Mr Khatri’s mentorship our students had the privilege of making a sparrow nest thereby learning about the sparrow conservation.

The visit was an enriching experience that not only broadened the students’ perspectives on climate action but also provided practical lessons in environmental stewardship. We are confident that the knowledge gained will empower our students to contribute positively towards safeguarding the environment.
