Celebrating Lohri, Makar Sankranti & Pongal: A Blend of Culture and Compassion
The Indian Heights School joyously celebrated the vibrant festivals of Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal with a special assembly that beautifully highlighted cultural unity and festivity.
The event began with an insightful presentation on the significance of these harvest festivals, followed by a spirited bonfire celebration for students from Little Steps to Grade II, symbolizing warmth and togetherness. The festivities came alive with cheerful folk dances, traditional songs, a thought-provoking panel discussion, and creative kite-making and Pongal pot decoration activities, adding a colorful touch to the occasion.
Emphasizing the spirit of generosity, the school also organized a heartfelt donation drive, ‘A Fist of Happiness,’ encouraging students to contribute essentials for the underprivileged. The festive decorations across the campus further enhanced the joyous atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude.
