HANDS FOR HUMANITY: Free Eye Check-Up Drive by The Indian Heights School
Recognizing that many drivers, particularly those aged 40 to 50, often neglect regular eye examinations, the students took it upon themselves to address this gap. From conceptualisation to execution, they managed every aspect of the campaign: fundraising, planning, logistics, and outreach. Their efforts culminated in a successful event that not only provided free eye screenings but also offered prescription spectacles and facilitated cataract treatments for those in need.
Patients diagnosed with cataracts were offered free surgical treatment under this collaboration, ensuring comprehensive care and support. This initiative not only enhanced road safety by promoting better vision among drivers but also instilled a profound sense of social responsibility and community service among the students.
Through this campaign, students developed essential leadership skills, gained financial literacy, and heightened their social awareness, preparing them to be conscientious and proactive members of society.
