‘Connecting Home and school makes us a great community of learners.’

With the help of the Home-School Programme, we have been working diligently in bringing home and school together to provide an integrated learning environment for young learners. This has been successful because of the efforts and enthusiastic participation of parents.

On August 30, 2019 , Ms. Purva Jain a concerned parent and citizen conducted an interactive workshop on a very important issue faced by our country which is Waste Segregation and Management. The session was conducted for students of class VI who participated actively in gaining insight about the ways to make our surroundings clean and green.



Home-School Program (Ms. Shanti Nidhi & Dr. Abhishek Rathi)

‘The capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill, the willingness to learn is a choice.’

Parents have an integral role to play in the effective learning process of a child’s educational journey. We value this role and so encourage parents to participate in our Home-School programme initiative which helps in effectively bridging the gap between the learnings from both parents and teachers.

On September 3, 2019, we had Ms. Shanti Nidhi who conducted a session on a chapter from EVS as well as a dancing session with students of class IV. Students got actively involved in understanding the chapter taught as well as enjoyed the dance session.

On the same day we also had Dr. Abhishek Rathi, an Orthopedic Doctor and an inspirational parent who conducted a session on ‘Correct Back Postures and Healthy Lifestyle’for students of class VII. In the session he encouraged students to follow correct body postures that would help them have strong body balance and bone development as well as gave the students a deep insight about healthy eating practices for a happy living.



Home-School Program (Mr. Vikas Gupta)

To be successful, the most important requirement is to be able to focus on our goal. This was demonstrated through an interactive session by Mr. Vikas Gupta on July 23, 2019 for students of class X. Under the Home-School programme, the resource parent discussed the importance of attention and concentration in all walks of life as well as shared some mantras that could help students perform better in life.

The session was very informative and students felt that with the help of the tips provided they can surely work on their attention and concentration skills.



Home-School Program (Mr. Sourabh Sachdeva)

Hygiene is two-thirds of our health. Therefore, it is important to educate students about the importance of hygiene as well as ways to stay clean. Keeping this in mind, Mr. Sourabh Sachdeva an expert in the field as well as an enthusiastic parent conducted a session on “Hygiene” for students of class VIII on July 17, 2019. The session was very informative especially when students learnt the difference between correct and incorrect ways to keep self hygiene.

 



Home-School Program (Ms. Monia Rani)

Home-School programme helps provide an integrated environment for students to learn and develop. Under this programme, several parents contributed their knowledge by sharing it with students in a creative manner. The session conducted by Ms. Monia Rani for class VI students on July 16, 2019 was an artistic revolution as through the application of mathematical skills she taught students the techniques to draw portraits. Students not only enjoyed the session but also felt inspired to try their hand in portrait making.

 

 



Home-School Program (Ms. Krishna Chattarajhad)

Every year we try to bring in experts from various fields to help our students learn and develop holistically. This is supported by the Home-school programme where expert parents discuss variety of ideas and impart knowledge to students; thereby enriching the overall learning experience for all. Keeping this in mind, on July 11, 2019, Ms. Krishna Chattarajhad a discussion on Vedic mathematics with students of class VI. Through her session, she introduced a new, innovative and quick solution to various mathematical problems. Her session intrigued students to learn techniques of mental mathematics, thus enabling them to have renewed interest in the subject.



Home-School Program (Mr. Dhananjay Sharma

An education institute builds the premise for a child’s future and therefore both parents and teachers work collaboratively in providing a plethora of opportunities, skills and information for the learning and development of students. This is achieved by the initiative of Home-school programme. Adding another expert to the resource pool is Mr. Dhananjay Sharma, who conducted a session on ‘Information of things and Emerging technological advancements’ for students of class IX on July 12, 2019. His session was an eye opener for students as it emphasized the involvement and importance of technological advancements in our lives.



Home-School Program (Ms. Aparna Jha)

We work diligently in bridging the gap between school and home by providing an integrated learning environment for students, where both teachers and parents provide widespread information on topics that go beyond books. This helps students explore numerous areas as well as learn requisite life skills.

Keeping this in mind, on July 11, 2019, Ms. Aparna Jha had a discussion on Nutrition and Healthy lifestyle with students of class V. Through her session, she introduced the importance of nutritious eating as well as leading healthy balanced lives. Students participated actively in the session and vowed to follow the tips of healthy eating regularly.



Home-School Program (Ms. Prerana Singh)

Parents are the ultimate role models for children. Children emulate every word and move of their parents. This is surely bound to influence them tremendously. Involvement of parents in the education process of children will surely bring about positive results. Ms. Prerana Singh, conducted a session on ‘Weaving a Story’ for students of class II. Her creative story-telling technique piqued the interests of students and gave soaring heights to their imaginations. Students participated in the session with zeal and associated themselves with the various characters in the story. It was a creative and mesmerizing experience for them.

 



Home-School Program (Ms. Mehak Gurtata)

We believe, that involvement of students in all spheres of life is very important, thereby their education can’t be limited to just books. Parents and school together work in putting to practice the theory of movement of body parts leads to better cognitive skills by encouraging several classroom activities.

On October 12, 2018, Ms. Mehak Gurtata, an IT engineer by profession and a skilled and passionate dancer conducted a session on ‘Tap your Feet’, for students of class VI. She took a mash up of songs and choreographed simple yet interesting steps for students to follow. Students enjoyed her session a lot as it got them grooving to foot tapping music. It surely energized them mentally and physically as well.

The Home-School Programme is an initiative based on the belief that no educational organization can work without the support of parents, who contribute towards our progress through their constant support and enthusiasm.

One among many such caring and passionate parents is Mr. Ajay Ghai, who under the Home- School program conducted a session on “Dream to Reality” for the students of class VIII on October 9, 2018 . It was a very interactive session with the prime focus on encouraging students to look at the positive aspects  and live each and every moment to the fullest. He emphasized on the importance of upholding our Indian value system of respect, honesty and listening with an open heart and mind.

Home-School partnership helps build a strong foundation to mold the young minds and help them grow. We believe in providing a congenial environment, offering holistic development of the mind and personality to our students. This is best achieved through our partners in education, the parent body.

On October 8, 2018 Mr.Deshraj, a legal worker and a passionate community developer conducted an interactive session on ‘Political Science and Legal System’ for students of class XI and XII. His session motivated students to appreciate the rich constitution of our country and inspired them to work towards upholding the legal policies in future endeavours. His session on the Indian political system and its influence on the youth, gave a new perspective on the diverse legislature of our country.

‘Alone we can do so little together we can do so much more’

Home-School programme is an initiative to bridge the gap between home and school so that a rich interconnected environment is provided for the students to learn. 

On October 11, 2018, Dr. Priyanka, an educator, a health enthusiast and a passionate parent conducted a session on ‘Physical activity, Time management and Sleep Hygiene’ for students of Class VIII. Her session motivated students to lead healthy lives with emphasis on healthy diet, exercise and sleep pattern. She encouraged students to value time and optimize it by engaging in productive positive activities every day.



Home-School Program (Mr. Pranab Kumar)

Communication helps build relationship but at the same time it also enhances one’s personality. To help students understand the use of effective communication, especially the corrective use of English language, a session was conducted by Mr. Pranab Kumar das for students of class X. Mr. Pranab kumar is an English lecturer and a compassionate parent who took an interactive session on basic grammar and the corrective usage of English word in a conversation. His session encouraged students to reflect on their respective language skills.



Home-School Program (Ms. Bhavna Karari)

Parents are an integral part of an effective learning system for the budding generation. With this strong belief the Home- School Programme of the school encourages active participation of parents in conducting interactive sessions with students.

 One such parent is Ms. Bhavna Karari, who conducted a yoga session for students of Class VI. Her session took students through a journey of self discovery as she showed various asans and spoke about healthy lifestyle management. Her Yoga class helped rejuvenate students and encouraged them to practice yoga every day.

The school strives to provide the best resource bank for students to learn and develop. This resource pool is enriched by the involvement of passionate and dedicated parents who contribute their knowledge expertise under the Home-School Programme and help build a positive learning environment for students.

On August 24, 2018, Mr. Gurpreet Singh conducted an interactive session on ‘Internet: pros and cons’ for students of class VII. Through the workshop, students, who live in today’s digitized were sensitized on the importance of productive use of internet as well as were made aware of the consequences of misuse of technology.

We believe that parents and school together can help open up a plethora of opportunities for students to explore and evolve. This platform is provided by the Home-school Programme of the school, under which parents share their knowledge & expertise with the students. Under one such program an experienced financial analyst, Mr. Sanjay Shishodia, conducted an interactive seminar on August 24, 2018 on the topic ‘Finance’ for commerce students of classes XI and XII. Students were provided an overview of the financial stock market in coming years and their role in becoming better Financial Managers.

On August 8, 2018, Mr. Sanjay Singh Chauhan conducted an interactive Career planning workshop for students of class X. His session helped put on thinking caps on the minds of young youths to start planning their career based on in-depth understanding of self as well as the society, as together it can help shape future of the youth as well as the country.

On August 8, 2018 an avid reader and a committed parent; Ms. Archana Sinha, conducted a book reading session for students of class II. In the session she read out the story from the book title ‘Grandma’s bag of stories’ as well as read extracts from Sudha Murthy’s book. Her reading inspired the young minds to go home and reading a story of their choice. Her session helped students to understand the pleasure of reading.

On August 8, 2018 Dr. Mandira Kochar, an educator, researcher and a passionate parent conducted a session on ‘Alternate Career Paths in Biotechnology’ for science students of classes X- XII. Her session presented the various courses and job opportunities available for students in the field of biology. The session helped put thinking hats on for students to explore research and analysis as a good career choice for future endeavours.

On August 3, 2018, Dr. Aarti Seherawat an educator, a health enthusiast and a passionate parent conducted a session on ‘Menstrual Hygiene’ for girls of class VII. Her session was very interactive and emphasized the importance of clean self as well as environment for students to have healthy lifestyle. Students gained a deep insight on the process of menstruation and the ways to deal with the various body changes during this phase of development.

On July 30, 2018 Mr. Munish Gupta, one such passionate and resourceful parent conducted an interactive session on ‘Artificial Intelligence’ for students of class IX. His session encouraged students to appreciate the resources they have available but at the same time use them with caution. His discussion with students made them start planning for the changing world of technology and its’ effects on mankind.

On July 19, 2018 Ms. Swati Anand, conducted an interactive session on ‘Communication skills and Personality Development’ for students of class VI. Her session focused on the importance of effective communication and the ability to enhance one’s personality to achieve great heights in life.

On July 10, 2018 one such talented parent, Ms. Cressida, an artist by profession conducted a beautiful melodious session on the topic “Vocal Music” for students of Class III. Her session lit the spark of music in the hearts of every child and encouraged them to understand the importance music in everyone’s life.

On July 17, 2018 Ms. Ruchika Thomas, conducted an interactive session on ‘Communication skills and Positive thinking’ for students of class VII. Her session focused on the importance of the interaction between positive thought and effective communication. She also educated students on the various types of communication and discussed the use of corrective words in order to have healthy interactions.

On July 3, 2018 Mr. Sachit Chawla, a passionate environmentalist, a prominent ‘Save nature’ activist and a very active parent conducted an interactive session on ‘My Environment’ for students of class VII. His session encouraged the students to appreciate the gifts of nature and look at ways to cherish and preserve environment from deterioration.

On July 3, 2018 Ms. Aparna, a Consultant Nutritionist by profession and a caring parent by soul conducted a talk on ‘Healthy Eating Habits’ for students of class VI. She emphasized on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially in the growing years where competition to perform well is high. Students were educated on the various necessary nutrients to be eaten as well as tips were given on improving their eating habits. 



Home-School Program (Mr. Neetu Bhutan)

We believe that parents, students and school together can work towards providing the best facilitated learning environment for children to grow and develop both physically and mentally.

To this end, another feather has been added to our Home-school programme by an active speaker and a passionate parent, Ms. Neetu Bhutan who conducted a workshop on ‘Listening Skills’ for students of class V on February 28, 2018. The session emphasized on listening skill being an important part of positive healthy communication and the ways our young students could work on being good communicators and listeners. The speaker kept the session interactive with the use of several activities. Students enjoyed the session a lot and felt encouraged to use the skills they learnt in the session.

We strive towards bringing each student’s uniqueness to the foreground by providing them a progressive learning environment. In this initiative of ours, we are supported by passionate, enthusiastic and resourceful parents, who share their expertise with the students, motivate & encourage them to achieve greater success.  One of our parents, Mr. Sarada Mohanty, recently conducted a workshop for students of class XI on the topic “Creating a Super Student” on January 16, 2018 in the school auditorium. His session covered the important areas of time management, goal setting and skill development, which are the prerequisites of future ready students. Students kept the session very interactive and gained insight on the simple nuances necessary to equip themselves for their lives.

On December 21, 2017, Ms. Prerana Singh, an ardent reader, believer in education and an active parent conducted an interactive workshop on ‘Story reading’ for students of class I.  She kept students enthralled through expressive gestures and movement along with her stories, which made the session a huge success.

We believe that learning environment can be made an enriching and a creative experience for students when parents and school work together.  We have received immense support from parents who have constantly been active participants and rich resource banks for our students.

One such parent is Ms. Harshita Batra who conducted a very informative workshop on ‘Careers in abroad’ for selected students of classes XI and XII. The session provided general overview about the admission process into good universities abroad as well as the points to be remembered by students while thinking of choosing foreign university. The session followed a very interactive question-answer format which encouraged students to gain maximum knowledge on the topic and kept them attentive throughout.

We believe that parents, students and school together can work towards providing the best facilitated learning environment for children to grow and develop both physically and mentally.

To this end, another feather has been added to our Home-school programme by an active speaker and a passionate parent Ms. Neha Munjal who conducted a workshop on ‘Career options in commerce’ for students of classes X and XII. The session was primarily structured to inform students about the wide spectrum of career fields available in commerce, which is centered not only around BBA, BA, CA, CS rather involves creative courses like animation, content writing and travel-tourism. The prime focus of the session was in lieu of the thought that with the changing job market it is important that students are encouraged to assess self on their skills to understand the best suitable career option for them.

We believe in providing the best resource bank of knowledge for our students and it has been enriched by the rich expertise of our parents, who have made the Home-School programme a roaring success. Mr. Sanju Shishodia, a financial analyst by profession and a passionate parent conducted a workshop on ‘Investing in the stock market’ for students of class XI and XII. The workshop covered various aspects of investments, stock and the market scenario regarding financial analysis. Students felt intrigued to learn more about this sector and were enthusiastic participants throughout the session.

Parents are an integral part of an effective learning system for the budding generation. With a strong belief on this thought, the school encourages parents to conduct interactive workshops for students on topics of their expertise, under the umbrella of Home-School Programme of the school.

On November 7, 2017, Ms. Annu Sahadev, a supportive parent and a passionate educator conducted a workshop on Communication skills for students of classes VI and VII. She was accompanied by master trainer Mr. Ankit and Ms. Geetika who represented DynEd organization and its’ vision. The students enthusiastically participated in the activity based session which motivated them  to look at English as a global language.

We believe that no organization can work without the support of multiple stakeholders and our school is no exception. Our major stakeholders are parents who contribute towards our progress through their constant support by sharing their rich experience under the Home-School Programme of the school.

On August 23, 2017 Ms. Arunima Sharma, a passionate and keen learner of the field of technology conducted an interactive session on ‘Skills for Future’ for students of class IX. Her session encouraged students to learn various skills which would equip them to adapt to the changing future. She emphasized that career development does not limit to qualifications rather it involves the overall personality and skill of the individual that makes one future ready.

The school strongly believes that parents are not just providers but are mentors, guides and supporters for their child. To strengthen the bond between Parents, Students and School, we had a workshop conducted by Dr. Priyanka, an enthusiastic parent on a very pertinent concern observed in children today, ‘Sleep Hygiene’.  The workshop was attended by students of class VI who actively participated by being keen listeners throughout the session.  The session touched upon the imperative rules of having a sound sleep pattern which helps in leading a healthy lifestyle.

We believe in providing a plethora of opportunities to our students to enrich their knowledge banks and take informed career decisions. One such session was taken by Mr. Deepak Singh from Narayana Institute on July 24, 2017 on the topic ‘Ways to prepare for JTSE and NTSE.’ The session was attended by young minds of classes IX and X, who enjoyed the session and participated enthusiastically. The examples used by the speaker motivated students to use logical reasoning and objectively analyze concepts in all subjects.

We have taken our next step in the path of strengthening Home-School Program by involving Parents in our school activities. This mission is made possible by the support of Parents, who are an integral part of child’s growth and development by contributing their rich experience under the Home-School Programme of the school.

On July 21, 2017 Mr. Sachit Chawla, a passionate nature lover and prominent ‘Save nature’ activist and a very enthusiastic parent conducted an interactive session on ‘My Environment’ for students of class VIII. His session encouraged students to look at the ways one can save our environment from deterioration and contribute immensely not only towards nature but also towards our own wellness.

The school believes that no educational organization can work without the support of parents who contribute towards our progress through their constant support and enthusiasm. One among many such caring and passionate parents is Mr. Sanjay Kumar Gupta who under the Home- School program conducted a session on “Aviation” for students of class III D on December 20, 2016. It was a very interactive session with prime focus on various aspects of flight and helicopter engineering. The speaker with at most ease and expertise cleared several doubts of students related to flying, controlling and mechanisms of operating a flight or helicopter.

Communication plays a vital role in everyone’s life and use of proper words is a pre-requisite in today’s world.  Students have to be constantly made aware of their pronunciations and spellings sop that their language gets more refined day by day. Ms. Sunita Mukherjee, a very enthusiastic parent strongly believes in the thought that each child should be well versed in the correct applications of English words and so she under the home-school program conducted a session on “Phonetics and communication skills” for students of class III E on December 9, 2016. She kept students engaged throughout the session with her well managed activities which not only were entertaining but were equally informative.

It was a very interactive session with prime focus on encouraging students to look at the positives and live each and every moment to the fullest. He emphasized on the importance of upholding our Indian value system of respect, honesty and listening with an open heart and mind.

One among many such caring and passionate parents is Mr. Gaurav Kumar who under the Home- School program conducted a session on “Mathematical Class” for students of class IX on December 8, 2016. It was a very interactive session with prime focus on Mathematical skills in solving various problems. The speaker with at most ease and expertise cleared several doubts of students related to chapters in their mathematical subject.



Home-School Program (Dr. Sanjay Kumar)

Parents being the primary caregivers, play a pivotal role in shaping the overall development of the child. Thus, parental involvement is a pre-requisite for any education system to function smoothly. We strongly believe in this notion and so keep trying our level best to involve parents in activities in our school. One such initiative is our Home-School program which has shown tremendous response from many supportive parents. One such patron is Dr. Sanjay Kumar Deb who conducted a session on “Mind power and the importance of our sub-conscious” for students of classes IX and X on October 26, 2016. He emphasized the effect of positive thoughts on our behavior and encouraged students to have a realistic future plan. He also conducted activities on mind games which kept students intrigued throughout the session.



Home- School Program (Mr. Sanjay Chauhan & Ms. Virali Goyani )

We believe in strengthening the bond between parents and school as both together set the path of knowledge for young minds. To make this motto achievable we have introduced a “Home-school” program in our school, inviting parents to discuss or conduct sessions for our children.

It is very heartening to see that the program had a very successful start on August 10, 2016 by two enthusiastic and passionate parents on varied topics.

Mr. Sanjay Chauhan, took a very interactive session of “Sultan” Movie review for class IV C students. The session was not only entertaining but had an underlying moral quotient that touched the core values of the young. The speaker took the students through an overview of the film and explained various values like hard work, respect for teachers or coach, positive attitude and a never to give up zeal. Students showed excitement and participation throughout the session.

Ms. Virali Goyani took a creative session on Art and Craft for selective students of little steps. She taught students to decorate photo frames using sketch pens and stickers. Students were engaged and excited throughout the session. The session touched upon the creative and artistic zeal in each and every participating student, who enjoyed every second of the activity.
