Excursion to Rashtrapati Bhawan and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya

"Educational excursions provide students the joy of discovery and the opportunity to learn new things through travel.” An incredible journey of learning and discovery unfolded as The Indian Heights School, Dwarka orchestrated an educational excursion to Rashtrapati Bhawan and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, leaving an indelible mark on the minds of our budding scholars from Grades 6 to 8. The excursion commenced with a visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan, a bastion of history and heritage. The museum there unveiled the storied saga of our Presidents and the valiant struggle for freedom. Through photographs, artifacts, and awards, the students gleaned a rich tapestry of India\'s past. The guided tour kindled fascination, bringing history to life in every corner, culminating in a heartwarming storytelling session on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Heightians then explored the Parliament House, delving into Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers, the Central Hall, and the Parliamentary Museum. Learning about India\'s supreme legislative body, they grasped its history and internal operations. With detailed insights, they observed Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha workings, followed by a visit to the Central Hall where Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru delivered the first post-independence speech. The journey continued at Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, nestled in the serene Teen Murti Estate. A tribute to our nation\'s builders, the museum celebrated the lives of 15 Prime Ministers, showcasing their contributions that shaped modern India. Divided into two blocks, it illuminated the evolution from British Raj to a resurgent India. This excursion aligned perfectly with our commitment to experiential learning and the objectives of the National Educational Policy (NEP). Heightians not only absorbed diverse subjects but also imbibed the ideals of our great nation. The day couldn’t be more fortunate than today as we are indeed over the moon as we landed on the Lunar Surface! This immersive experience both for our nation and the students was a true embodiment of new learning adventures that were enriching and enlightening.
